An experimental program to help citizens constrained to find jobs has been started in Songinokhairkhan district by the Ministry of Social Welfare and Labor and will gradually be extended to Dornod, Dundgobi, Khovd, Khuvsgul, Arkhangai and Uvurkhangai aimags, and to Khan-Uul district of Ulaanbaatar, where the poverty level is high.

The goal is to find employment for some members of 900 households in the district. The focus will be on those who have come out of prison, those between 18 and 25 years of age without any professional qualification, and parents of unemployed children. The program will also issue identification cards and related documents to those who do not have them.
