B. Tuvshinbat of Mongolia was given $2,500 as the best boxer at the Shaheed Benazir Bhutto International Boxing tournament which concluded in Karachi last week. The tournament ended with China claiming four gold, one silver and two bronze medals to finish at the top while Syria ended the show with two gold and two silver. Thailand got two gold medals while one gold each went to Mongolia and Cameroon.

Tuvshinbat edged past Mashhurbek Ruziyev of Uzbekistan 7-2 In the light welterweight (64 kg), while in the bantamweight (54 kg) final, Yong Dang of China was given walkover against J Otgonbayar of Mongolia.

All gold medallists received a cash prize of $500 each.
