A meeting at the Ministry of Health on Tuesday adopted the activity plan for a year-long project against spread of contagious diseases as a result of climate change, to be jointly financed by The World Health Organization and KOIKA of South Korea.

The head of administration at the National Center for Epidemolgy and an expert on marmot plague, A.Dolgorkhand, said at the meeting that incidence of marmot plague and crab louse infection has been increasing every year. Even though there are not many fatalities, it has to be studied how climate change affects the spread of infection.
