Officials of the Ministry of Nature, Environment and Tourism informed journalists about Mongolia’s participation in the ITB-Berlin 2011 travel trade show as a culture partner country. Minister for Nature, Environment and Tourism L. Gansukh headed a team with 80 members, 20 of whom were from the Ministries of Finance; of Foreign Affairs and Trade; of Education, Culture and Science; of Nature, Environment and Tourism; and from the Culture and Art Committee; the National Center for Tourism; the Mongolian Tourism Association and the Center for Stable Development of Tourism. Of the rest, 40 were employees of 12 tourism companies and the remaining 20 were made up of singers, musicians, artists and media staff.

Mongolia was named the third most active country at the show where 188 countries participated. The Mongolian team worked hard to advertise Mongolia and distributed 30,000 video cassettes, 25,000 magazines and 100,000 brochures. It held four press conferences and produced four cultural performances.
