Former sumo wrestler and now MP,  D.Batbayar, answers our journalist’s questions about the tsunami and earthquake in Japan.

What is the latest you have heard from Japan?
Japan has not asked for international help and people affected by the calamity have the confidence they will rebuild their life. Our Government wants to bring back Mongolians from Japan but some do not wish to return.

What about Mongolian sumo wrestlers?
A professional sumo wrestler is not a student and cannot just come home. There is also the issue of leaving their Japanese friends behind. Let us see how the situation develops, particularly the radiation issue.
