Six private coal diggers, all between 24 and 32 years of age, were killed yesterday afternoon in Nalaikh when they could not get out of a hole they had entered. A rescue team from the Ministry of Mineral Resources and Energy reached the accident area in response to citizens’ calls to and brought out the bodies.

Local police are trying to determine how the accident occurred.
