On a working visit to Kharkhorin soum of Uvurkhangai aimag, Deputy Speaker G.Batkhuu met with senior officials at the Governor’s Office and discussed difficulties the aimag faced in developing small and medium businesses and improving conditions in the soum. Kharkhorin soum has 13,000 people but little employment opportunities. The officials requested the Deputy Speaker to pay attention to this.
Batkhuu also visited the Police Department, a secondary school in Orkhon, a kindergarten and Enerel Kharkhorin hospital. He handed over an ambulance car to the hospital.
Heavy snow has blocked some auto roads in the aimag and it is difficult to reach Orkhon, Ongotson ukhaa, Nariin khur, Jalbaa and Shankh soums. Herders are worried about water flow from the mountains when the snow melts.
