The Standing Committee on the Economy has approved a draft protocol about building a bridge pathway at the western crossroad of Narantuul market and the railroad. The matter will now be discussed by Parliament.

According to the Government’s master plan of UB city development made back in 2002 with the help of JICA, the Japanese organization, downtown traffic would significantly decrease with the construction of the proposed Engels Bridge and Narantuul Bridge. MNT20 billion is needed to build these. More than 125,000 vehicles use some roads during peak hours.
