The Government has fixed the amount of health insurance payment for 2010. Salaried workers will continue to pay 4 percent of their total income, but rates have changed for those whose insurance is paid by the Government.  They include children, students of universities, institutes, colleges and professional training centers, herdsmen and prisoners. The monthly payment for them has been raised by MNT170 and will now be MNT670 but the entire burden will be borne by the State. A foreigner or unregistered citizen will pay MNT4,000.
