President Ts.Elbegdorj left Khutag-Undur soum of Bulgan aimag after meeting with citizens there and his first stop on the way to Murun, the center of Khuvsgul aimag, was to visit herders of Tosontsengel soum of the aimag. The President was told by managing officials of the soum that it has 1,000 households with 203,000 animals and there has been very little loss of livestock this winter because the weather was mild and there was enough hay. However, the soum faces difficulties like overuse of pasture, lack of artesian wells and school buildings needing repair. Pasture land suitable for 80,000 animals now have 300,000 animals grazing, and schools built in the 1960s now have many more students than the 320 originally intended.

The Governor of the soum was assured by the President and his team that his request new schools would receive urgent attention. Minister for Food, Agriculture and Light Industry T.Badamjunai promised support for a new well.
