President Ts.Elbegdorj was briefed by judicial officials at the Bulgan aimag court on the various ways in which judges and prosecutors there are working to create an open and transparent system. There is a website which publishes court decisions, legal documents and laws, and 28,000 citizens have so far visited it this year. Besides, there is a court-appointed lawyer to help children charged with crime.

The President told them that a fair justice system is essential to protect citizens’ interests. People would trust court decisions only when they are reached with transparency.
