The Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry has distributed 144,600 animals to 5,162 households that lost all their livestock in the last dzud. The cost of the program has been met with funds from the state budget, and foreign and domestic aid and loan.

Herders and private sector economic entities have prepared 1.1 million tons of hay and 38,500 tons of fodder and this should help herders overcome spring without difficulty.
