Premier S.Batbold yesterday received the World Bank’s Country Director in Mongolia, China and North Korea, Klaus Roland, and the Director of South Asian and Pacific Region of the International Finance Corporation. He noted how cooperation with both institutions for many years on a series of projects had benefited Mongolia and sought their assistance in developing processing factories to ensure long-term and stable economic growth and to generate employment. He told the visitors about the discussion in the Mongolia Economic Forum on cooperation of the state, the private sector and civil society. He urged the IFC to collaborate in infrastructure development.

When the visiting officials expressed interest to know the Government policy on the cashmere sector,
Batbold told them tha
t after a recent meeting with its representatives, the Government wanted to provide financial support to the sector, provided Parliament agreed. The visitors said their organizations were ready to support development of the cashmere sector.
