Speaker D.Demberel yesterday received a Japanese delegation led by Himori Fumihiro, a member of the Social Democratic Party and a former member of Parliament. He thanked them for accepting the MPP invitation to attend its 90th anniversary celebrations.

Saying that Mongolia remembers the aid from the Japanese people and Government in the 1990s when it changed over from socialism to a market economy, Demberel noted that both bilateral relations and inter-Parliamentary ties have been getting stronger. Fumihiro thanked the MPP for the invitation and said a daily flight between Ulaanbaatar and Narita would help strengthen relations.

Demberel also received a South Korean delegation to the celebrations, led by Kim Chun Kvan, a member of the National Assembly. He said that Mongolia and Korea have close ties and most of Mongolians working abroad go to South Korea. He repeated a request that Mongolians illegally living there be granted a one-time visa to regularize their status.
Kim Chun Hvan also referred to the historically close ties between the two peoples and said Mongolia could expand its agriculture sector to be able to export grains and vegetables. In this Mongolia could use Korean technology. He promised to pay attention to granting a visa to the 30,000 Mongolians living without proper documents in South Korea.
