Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi yesterday called on President Ts.Elbegdorj to apprise him of the thrust of his talks with Mongolian Foreign Minister G.Zandanshatar regarding strengthening of the bilateral strategic partnership. The President thanked China for its grant of a soft loan as requested by the Government of Mongolia.
He said it was important to develop cultural, educational and humanitarian relations to strengthen mutual understanding and trust and expressed satisfaction that more Mongolian students are receiving scholarship from the Government of China to study there. The two countries also have joint programs in nature, environment and disaster management. He asked the Minister to pass on his greetings to President Hu Jintao.
Yang Jiechi noted how bilateral relations have been expanding.
