The National Committee of the Mongol Livestock Program met yesterday to review its work in 2010 and to adopt a work plan for the present year. The Program covers some 170,000 households and organizes trainings for herders.
The committee has set five priorities in 2011. These are: establishing a favorable legal environment; improving animal breeding quality; provision of health measures, particularly prevention of infectious diseases; finding markets for herders’ products; and risk reduction.
