Why did the court not accept Khurts’s defense?

His lawyer made a forceful defense but could not convince the judge that Khurts had diplomatic immunity and should neither have been arrested nor be extradited to Germany. We shall appeal.

Is it true that Khurts was traveling on a business visa and not a diplomatic visa?
That is true but that was the visa the British Embassy issued. We cannot give you any more details.
