The Government has released MNT370 million to repair the power plant of Uvs aimag, which has not been functioning since radiators and transmission lines were frozen two weeks ago. It also wanted a study to be made of the possibility of the local state administration owning the plant.  Some time ago the Civil Representative Assembly of Uvs aimag resolved to privatize the power station and the State Property Committee agreed. The situation may have changed after the present breakdown that has led to considerable damage.
