Debate of united policy for biological species protection and proper consumption was held in Khovd aimag. Officials discussed amendment of law on hunting, rules of protection some resources, restore, an association establishment for proper consumption and wild nature management.

Wild sheep and goat in Khovd aimag is hunted in definite fee by permission of Ministry of Nature, Environment and Tourism since 1967.

Laws on management implementation of wild animals, protection and hunting special permission are needed for local residents’ participation. Besides, local residents do not get definite profit that is why they are not initiating wild animals’ protection and their pasture land release. Therefore, officials pay attention to improve correlation between organizations that run hunting and local managing officials.
