Joint seminar of working group to disseminate European Union’s popular principle, norm and standard in Mongolia and EU representatives was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade on January 26 and 27.

Special Proxy and Ambassador of Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade B.Batkhishig chaired the seminar. Deputy Head of EU Representatives Office /EU RO/ in Beijing Mr. M.Pulh, Department Chief of Mongolia’s Charge in EU RO M.Roizing and an official V.Kollarino attended the seminar and stated opinions.

Professor of Stockholm University K.Sandgren, who worked in Mongolia for two weeks to research, read the report of his work. State-Secretary of Ministry of Nature, Environment and Tourism N.Batsuuri, Advisor of First Deputy Prime Minister N.Khurelsukh, Director of Building Architecture Corp D.Khaisambuu, Department Chief of Standardization Measurement Office G.Zorigoo and Professor T.Sosorbaram gave speech and stated opinions along research report.

The seminar has significance to determine tendency and sector of dissemination EU standard in Mongolia. EU has approved EU standard dissemination in Mongolia and promised nonrefundable aid of eight million euro in 2011 and 2012.
