S.Baatarjav has been appointed as Commissioner General of the National Police Agency of Mongolia. The appointment was confirmed during an irregular meeting of Cabinet on 26 October. S.Baatarjav succeeds U.Enkhtur.

Currently, S.Baatarjav is working as director of the Law Enforcement University of Mongolia.

S.Baatarjav has been working in law enforcement for 29 years. He originally began his career as a detective in the Tuv Provincial Police Department, later being  promoted to criminal agent and then senior agent in the Selenge and Darkhan-Uul Provincial Police Departments.

After graduating from the Academy of Management of the Russian Federal Ministry of Internal Affairs in Moscow, S.Baatarjav worked in the Control and Inspection Division of the General Police Agency, and was then appointed head of the Darkhan-Uul Provincial Police Department.
