S.Batbold, Mayor of Ulaanbaatar has received H.E. Jennifer Zimdahl Galt, Ambassador from the United States of America to Mongolia for the last time – as she is due to return home.

During the meeting, the mayor and the ambassador exchanged views on the widening cooperation between the two countries as well as  the serious problems facing Ulaanbaatar, such as air-soil-pollution and modernizing the Central Sewage Plant.

Mayor Batbold proposed increasing the number of twin cities with the USA.

Ambassador Galt, a career member of the Senior Foreign Service, formerly served as Principal Officer of the U.S. Consulate General in Guangzhou, China, where she had the privilege of leading and mentoring a talented team of nearly 500, comprising 133 American officers, of whom 62 were on first- and second-tour, and over 300 locally-engaged Chinese colleagues.
