Mongolian state-owned hospitals have been working on extended schedules since January. The Health Ministry regulated to extend shifts at hospitals in order cut the problems of waiting time.
Doctors and nurses at Ulaanbaatar’s Hospitals I, II, III, the Cancer Hospital, the National Centre for Maternal and Child Health of Mongolia are working two shifts until 08.00 p.m. Patients are praising the new regulation on extended work shifts; however, the health workers are saying that in winter, working time will be reduced.
