Mongolian Prime Minister U.Khurelsukh received Neil Saker, resident representative of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) earlier today (5th of October).
During the meeting, the new Mongolian Prime Minister confirmed that the new cabinet would continue the IMF aid programme. Mr Khurelsukh said ‘The Mongolian cabinet was dissolved and I was appointed as Prime Minister. The new cabinet will be formed by the Mongolian People’s Party which won the parliamentary election.
‘The Mongolian economy situation is now much improved, there has even been significant growth; inflation has stood at one point since the cabinet was formed following the 2016 elections. The IMF has contributed to the growth of the Mongolian economy.’
Mr. Neil Saker congratulated Mr U.Khurelsukh on his appointment as Prime Minister and said that the IMF programme can help stabilise the Mongolian economy as well as to produce significant growth.
