A total of 115 employees from the Orgil Rashaan Suvilal, a health spa resort, are demanding compensation from the Mongolian government after the state-owned company was privatised. The Orgil Spa Resort was privatized for MNT 15 billion 25 million on Tuesday (3rd of October).

The Government Agency for Policy Coordination on State Property reduced the value of  the Orgil Spa Resort by 15 percent after three open auctions were called since spring 2017. The auction price started at MNT 12.1 billion.

The Orgil staff fear that they might lose their jobs after privatization goes through. It has been reported that the employees are demanding compensation totalling MNT 950 million from the sale revenue, this being equivalent to  a year’s salary.
