The National University of Mongolia (NUM), the country’s oldest, is celebrating its 75th anniversary. As a part of event, the NUM is organising celebration meetings, the signing of cooperation agreements, a gala concert and sports festivals on 5th and 6th of October.
An NUM Investment Forum-2017 will be held at the Shangri-La Hotel on 5th October. It will present investment and developmental programs and projects on expanding the domestic and external cooperation of the university and boosting development. Over 150 foreign and Mongolian representatives are expected to attend the forum.
The same day, the brand new NUM library will open. A total of MNT 16 billion has been spent on this new facility. The seven-storey modern and fully equipped library has two wings and a collection of 420 thousand books.
The NUM is Mongolia’s leading university; over the years since its establishment, it has trained more than 100 thousand professionals. The NUM was awarded the Order of Labor Merit of Mongolia in 1957 on the occasion of its 15th anniversary.
