A business forum, addressing the development of cooperation between the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and Mongolia was held in Ulaanbaatar on 4th of October. More than 200 delegates participated in the forum.

During the forum, Mongolia signed a MoU with the Member States of the EAEU on reducing restrictions beyond custom tariffs.

The decision to hold the joint business forum was agreed during a meeting of EEC Board Chairman,Tigran Sargsyan, with Mongolian Prime Minister, Jargaltulgyn Erdenebat, in June, 2017 at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.

Practical issues regarding the preparation for the Eurasian Forum, as well as possible format for the participation of the delegation of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC), were discussed by the Director of the EEC Integration Development Department, Sergey Shukhno, together with a delegation from the Mongolian Ministry of Foreign Affairs headed by the Director of the Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation Department.
