Former Mongolian President Ts. Elbegdorj made a speech at the climate forum, earlier today, 3rd of October. The event, entitled ‘Mongolia’s contribution to decrease world climate change’ has been taking place at the Continental Hotel in Ulaanbaatar. Ts.Elbegdorj spoke on environmental protection and fighting climate change, specifically during his eight years as Mongolian President.

The forum was organised by the Mongolian Ministry of Environment and Tourism with the NDC Partnership Support Unit.

In 2015, the world endorsed the bold 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the landmark Paris Agreement to address climate change. Now, each country implements and advances its ‘Nationally Determined Contributions’ (NDC’s) under the Paris Accord, and studies new approaches and practices which must be applied in order to achieve significant and lasting climate change.
