As a part of the Second Mongolia-China Expo-2017 currently being held in Hohhot. capital of Inner Mongolia, a conference on agricultural production, processing and cooperation.  P.Sergelen, acting Minister of Food, Agriculture and Light Industries spoke at the event.

Minister. P.Sergelen said: ‘The number of Mongolian livestock has increased to 61.5 million in 2017, which is a 9.9 percent rise on the previous year. Furthermore, Mongolia has potential to increase meat production and to export 5.6 million livestock or 128.5 thousand tonnes of meat. So, we wish to explore possibilities to export more meat to China, to secure the quality of Mongolian meat in accordance with  international standards, to increase the income of herders, and to support enterprises which exporting meat. Currently Mongolia can export between 120-200 tonnes to China.’

The conference was one four main events, organized as a part of the Mongolia-China Expo aims to strengthen the bilateral economic and trade partnership.
