The Mongolian People’s Party (MPP) handed the name of the nominee for the post of prime minister to President Kh.Battulga, earlier today, 27th of September. According to the law, the president must to introduce the nominee for the post of prime minister at the plenary session of the  Mongolian State Great Khural (parliament). The Khural, in which the MPP holds an overwhelming majority of seats, will then decide whether to approve or reject the candidature of U.Khurelsukh as 30th Prime Minister of Mongolia.

During the MPP conference on Monday (25th of September) a secret ballot was conducted to elect the prime ministerial candidate. The choice fell upon acting Deputy Prime Minister U.Khurelsukh.
