Mongolian tour operators have been participating in the Japan-hosted international Tourism EXPO (JATA) 2017. The event took place on 21st -24th of September.

Statistics show that last year, 17 million Japan people travelled abroad – 19.985 coming to Mongolia. In response to the rising number of Japanese tourists in the country in recent years, the Tourism Department of the capital city in cooperation with the Ministry of Environment and Tourism decided to participate in  international events, such as JATA 2017, promoting the local tourism industry.

Mongolian tour operators and entities including Mongolian Airlines, Birga Tour LLC, the Flower Hotel, Gobi Tour LLC, Iris Tours LLC, Jiguur LLC, Juulchin LLC, Let’s Travel LLC, the Nomadic Tourism tour agency and domestic brand Yalguun were present at the event. Also, artists from the Ulaanbaatar Ensemble gave cultural performances at the exhibition venue on 23rd and 24th of September.
