The VI Mongolian National Sports Festival is to be held nationwide in the third quarter of the 2017. Athletes from 35 organisations such as the Committee of Physical Culture and Sports in the 9 districts of Ulaanbaatar and the country’s 21 provinces will participate in the competition.

Mongolian national sports are unique for their great technique, legacy based on traditional culture, and customs passed on from generation to generation for thousands of years.

Mongolia’s national games, Naadam, which include the three ‘manly’ sports of wrestling, horse racing and archery and are held every year in July, were inscribed into UNESCO`s Representative List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2010.
