An apartment block for workers of the National Training and Manufacturing Centre for the Visually Impaired has been constructed in Ulaanbaatar. Construction of the 90 household-apartment block has been financed at a total of nearly MNT 5 billion from the Mongolian State Budget. Construction began in 2015; now the first residents are moving in.
The first ever apartment block for 48 visually impaired households was constructed in 1986. A total of 116 thousand visually impaired people currently live in Mongolia – a number of them work at the National Training and Manufacturing Centre for the Visually Impaired.
