The UN Environment Programme (UNEP) announced that Mongolia has become a member of PAGE to assist in the global transition to a green economy in 2013.
Mongolia is currently developing several policies that will place the country on a green development path, including measures on sustainable mining, renewable energy and ecotourism. As part of its PAGE activities, UNEP has announced that it plans to engage Mongolia on other issues, including climate change.
