The 72nd Regular Session of the United Nations General Assembly will convene at UN Headquarters in New York, from 19th to 25th of September.

As a member of the UN, Mongolia attends the session every year. This year, acting Foreign Minister Ts.Munkh-Orgil will participate in the session instead of President Kh.Battulga. The working group led by the acting Foreign Minister departed Sunday for New York to attend the session.

The President’s Office made an official announcement that the President Kh.Battulga will not be participating in the UN session.

On sidelines of the session, Ts.Munkh-Orgil will participate in the following meetings;

-Ministerial meeting of Landlocked Developing Countries

– Ministerial meeting of 77 group Developing Countries

-Conference for supporting the Test Ban Treaty of 1963, which prohibits nuclear weapons tests.

-Ministerial meeting of the Non-Aligned Movement

-Ministerial meeting of the members for strengthening cooperation and trust in Asia
