The Mongolian basketball team has become champion of the 3×3 FISU World University League-2017. The competition took place in the Chinese city of Xiamen.

The Mongolian team won over Argentina by 19:13 and Iran by 20:19 in group matches. Later, they battled against Chili in the quarter-final and won with a score of 19:13. The Mongolian team eventually won gold after beating Serbia with 21:17 in the finals match.

The Mongolian team became champion at the 3×3 Asian University Championship which took place in Malaysia in April. Now, they will go for the Mexican Grand Prix.
