The 34th international cooking competition was held in Mongolia on 6th and 7th of September. A Mongolian student B.Dagvasuren from the Technological Polytechnic College won a silver medal at ths event, entitled ‘Chinggis Khaan Challenge Cup 2017’. B.Dagvasuren will now go on to participate in a World Skills competition in Abu Dhabi in October.

This is the first competition of its kind in Central Asia. Mongolia has been hosting the competition as a way of promoting traditional Mongolian cuisine in order  to attract tourists and increase  investment in the food sector.

Participants from Turkey, South Korea, Romania, Russia, India and China also competed in the competition.
