Mongolia ranks third at World Judo Championship

TheWorld Judo Championship has just concluded in Budapest, the capital city of Hungary. From 28th of August to 3rd of September, a total of 18 Mongolian athletes (9 men and 9 women) participated in the competition along with judokas from126 other countries. Mongolia took gold, silver and four bronze medals, coming an overall third.

Japan ranked first with seven golds, four silvers and a bronze followed by France with two golds.

Mongolia’s D.Sumya (57 kg) became the world champion; M.Urantsetseg (48 kg) took silver as well as B.Mungunchimeg (63), G.Boldbaatar (60 kg), G.Odbayar (73 kg) and Olympic champion N.Tuvshinbayar (+100 kg) won bronze medals.
