Mongolian Olympic silver medalist judoka D.Sumya has became the world champion. This happened on 30th of August at the 2017 World Judo Championship in Budapest, Hungary, when D.Sumya won the women’s 57 kg, D.Sumya changing her bronze medal into gold. The State Honored Sportswoman claimed victory after defeating Japanese judoka Tsukasa Yoshida in a match that lasted 12 minutes 56 seconds.

D.Sumya has now become the second woman champion in judo, and the fourth Mongolian judoka to win two medals from the world championships.
