P.Orkhon, an international master of sport has won a gold medal in the women’s – 63 kg category of the World Wrestling Championships. The competition took place in Paris on 21st of August.
The 24-year old became Mongolia’s fifth World Champion. It was the seventh gold medal by the Mongolian national team.
P.Orkhon from the “Aldar” sports club and “Avarguud” academy made a sensation at the 2016 Golden Grand Prix after defeating Kaori Icho of Japan, a four-time Olympic and ten-time World champion in the 58 kg division. She stopped 158 consecutive wins by the legendary Japanese wrestler, world media reported.
