A MIAT flight bound for Tokyo has had to return to Ulaanbaatar after problems occurred with the landing gear. The Boeing-737 was forced to circle for over an hour before touching down safely.
Flight OM501 left Chinggis Khaan airport at 08.01a.m on Friday but the pilots reported landing gear problems immediately after take-off. It returned to Ulaanbaatar where it landed safely and passengers were evacuated with no injuries. A total of 160 passengers were on board.
