XXIII Deaflympics, the International sporting competition for the Deaf took place in the Turkish city of Samsun. The Deaflympics are held every four years. A total of 3145 athletes from 114 countries competed in 21 sports categories. 

In the freestyle wrestling category, three Mongolian wrestlers, namely, N.Erkhembayar (57 kg), D.Chinzorig (65 kg) and Sh.Batbaatar (74 kg) won silver medals.
