Mongolia has approved a new state law that will fine people who make fake calls to the emergency services. The amendment was approved by parliament and came into immediate effect on 1st of July. Under the amendment, fake calls to emergency numbers such as fire-101, police-102 and ambulance-103 will result in a MNT 50 thousand. If the person making the phony call is underage, then his or her parents will be held responsible.
