As of Monday (17^th of July), the Mongolian National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has extinguished one forest fire and 12 others or 57 percent of the total, have been brought under control. Currently, more than 100 NEMA officers, 754 soldiers and 432 volunteers are on the front line of the battle with forest fires. Some 89 fire-engines have also been brought in.

It has been decided to give the volunteers a daily incentive of MNT 40 thousand.

In accordance with a decision issued by the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, the money will be allocated from a designated fund for citizens mobilized for natural disasters and public activities. As of today (19th July), MNT 1 billion 59 million has been allocated in 9 districts of the capital city and two provinces where the wildfires are raging.
