According to reports just published, this year, Mongolia is expected to lose 40% of its crops. Temperatures have risen by 2 degrees Celsius above average this year; this has resulted in drought.
Mongolia has harvested 381.6 thousand tonnes. This can be broken downs as follows: 51.1 thousand tonnes of potatoes, 8.5 thousand of other vegetables, 28.6 thousand tonnes of plant oils, a thousand tonnes of friuts and 23.2 thousand tonnes of forage for cattle.
