The 8th Consultation Meeting on trade and investment between the governments and enterprises of Japan and Mongolia took place in Ulaanbaatar on 4th of July. The Mongolian side led by Deputy Foreign Minister B.Battsetseg, received a Japanese delegation led by Deputy Economy, Trade and Industry Minister Yo.Matsumura. The consultation meeting was held under the economic partnership agreement and as a part of the 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
During the meeting, the Mongolian delegation introduced government policies on investment, the business environment, agriculture, road and transportation, mining and energy sectors to the Japanese investors. The Japanese side set out ways to get Mongolian agricultural products onto the Japan market as well as improving business possibilities and the environment.
As a part of the 8th Consultation Meeting, a business exhibition was held in Ulaanbaatar. More than 80 delegates from Japan and 50 from Mongolia participated the event which was organised by the Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry in cooperation with Japan’s External Trade Organisation (JETRO).
