During the second polling of Mongolian Presidential Election, the sale of alcohol as well as public events are to be banned by decree of the mayor of Ulaanbaatar. The ban will last for three days from 6th of July to 8th of July. During the liquor ban, individuals will not be allowed to sell or serve strong drinks anywhere in the capital.
July 7th, has, however, been designated a special full public holiday nationwide. Friday will also be an official day off for the capital’s large markets, which will be closed.
