Horseback archery is a traditional Mongolian art that recently has made a comeback in the steppes. It dates back to the time when Mongolian horsemen were fearsome warriors creating the largest land empire the world has ever seen.
Because of revived interest in this traditional skill, a horseback archery training center is to be constructed on a hillside 20 km from Ulaanbaatar in the Songinokharkan district. Primarily, the training centre will operate as a club and train athletes.
