Earlier today, (30th of May), the Ulaanbaatar City Citizens’ Representative Khural discussed urban child development and related problems. During the meeting, Save the Children Mongolia presented the results of a survey they have conducted at the schools in Ulaanbaatar. The ‘Voices of Teenagers’ survey studied the problems Mongolian teens face. A total of 1236 students aged between 11 and 16 from 6th, 8th and 10th grades participated.
Half the Mongolian population live in Ulaanbaatar; of them 30 percent or 450 thousand are children.
Ulaanbaatar Mayor S.Batbold, has approved a resolution to make every Wednesday a day for listening to the voices of children.
