Five Mongolian freestyle wrestlers have been practicing in the Sakha Republic in Russia. They have held a friendly match with wrestlers from Sakha-Yakutia and Kazakhstan who are preparing for the Asian Championships. The friendly match was held in the 61 kg, 65 kg, 70 kg, 74 kg and 86 kg categories on 26th and 27th of May.

International Master of Sports Z.Zanabazar won gold as well as Mongolian State Honoured Athletes – G.Mandakhnaran and E.Nyam-Ochir took silver in their respective matches.

With gold and diamond mines and abundant reindeer, the Sakha Republic, also known as Sakha-Yakutia is  Russia’s largest territory and is situated in the north of Russia’s Far Eastern Federal District. Ethnically the Yakuts are a Turkic Altaic group, as are the Mongols.
